Non activation of new sim card

I went to Altech Autopage Randburg at Thursday 28th November at 2pm they did the copying of my data onto my new sim card no problem there. They were not able to print me and invoice as their machine that prints invoices was not working they would email it to me still waiting. I was told that it would take 24 hours to activate the new sim card for my iPhone 5 By 2pm on Friday nothing had happening so I phoned Altech customer service and i was told to take the sim card and battery out of my old phone and within a half an hour it will be active. Hour later nothing had happened phoned again this time I was told to take the battery out of my iPhone (please maybe you know someone who can tell me how to take the battery out of an iPhone) Then phoned again and this time I was told to turn my phone off and take out the sim card and try again.By 4.30 I was told that Altech would log a call with technical services but that technical services closed at 5pm Wasted a whole afternoon with Altech So I have now had to go back to my old phone.
