My phone had been troubling so I had taken it to Vodacom as I have a contract with them. It was only switching off and not charging, I had put a new battery plus did a software upgrade but nothing. So I had went and booked my phone in, they had sent it to Durban and about a month ago. They had called me to say it was fixed, it just needed a software upgrade and that I could collect it. I picked it up, came home, same problem, it still was not working. So I had to take it back, same story, they had booked it in and sent it to Durban. About 3 days ago, I had received a call to say I must pay R2900 to have it fixed. Today (26/11/13) I had went into the store and they said it was water damage. I had never had my phone anywhere close to water and if that was the case why wasn't that picked up the 1st time it was sent it. I have had a contract with Vodacom for the past 9 years. I am disappointed by this service. I have asked them to upgrade my contract now but thats not possible according to them. In no way am I willing to pay R2900 for something that possibly was not there the first time. Their loyalty to their customers for years should show now. I do not know what they expect of me.
