I was worned about Cell C... now I understand why

I have been a client of Cell C's for many years, and I never had any issues. But the last 3 weeks have been a nightmare. Firstly the network reception in my office has always been terrible, but for the last 3 to 4 weeks it just got worse and worse. I eventually called the call centre and was told that they are busy upgrading the network, and the entire Pretoria area will sit with this problem for at least a month. I can make use of Vodacom and then switch on data roaming to get the same service, but that did not work either. The signal goes up and down the entire time, then it says "searching" and then it says "no service". I eventually called again and they suggested that I do a sim swop. R60 later and this did not solve the problem. I then decided to go into my local store and ask them to help me. I was told that the network does not work well with smartphones and Hope proceeded to download the latest version of IOS. I asked him that if the network does not like smartphones, why is he downloading the software? He told me that he is trying his luck. 1 hour later and still waiting for the software update - I told Hope to send the phone in for repairs...
