Cell C: 10% cheaper, 100% less Service!

Switched from Vodacom to Cell C - Big Mistake! Extremely bad signal in Randburg, i.e. calls dropped, SMS's delivered a day late. When I do manage to make a call, the other person can hardly hear me. The signal strength jumps up and down in dramatic fashion; from zero signal to five bars and back in seconds. I get multiple missed calls without the phone even ringing. I also experience problems at my workplace in Sandton (135 Rivonia Road), although less frequent.

The rest of my family are on MTN with no problems.

Two of my colleagues recently switched to Cell C and they reported the same issues. I completed a form and submitted it to Celll C for investigation, but it went into a black hole; no response whatsoever after more than a month.

I know what to expect from this complaint; a standard reply from Cell C and then nothing else will happen. I just hope that my complaint warns users to stay away from Cell C.

I will try ICASA and see whether I can get action; Cell C should not be allowed to mislead Customers.
