I applied for a line on Oct 30th, it was approved and i asked for the line to be installed on Nov 15th. The person on the line said it was no issue at all and i would not need to worry. someone would call to confirm. I never got a single call from anyone. On phoning on Nov 13th to confirm all was on track i got told sorry "there was an issue" and 15th could not happen. I was made to wait 20 minutes while it got escalated to a "supervisor" who told me he would organise it for the 15th. On the 15th i get an sms saying it is all on track for the 18th.

Noone actually does what they say they will in Telkom, it is like every government department, useless.
