Complaint / review / scam report
I have been having problems with poor line speed. I was asked to submit traceroutes and line speed tests and have been kept busy for days. Kyle first asked for a traceroute to be done and sent to him. He said a speed test is not necessary. I sent the traceroute, then he said he needed the speed test. I sent the speed test, then he said he needed a traceroute. I then decided to send both at the same time; he ignored it for a day and then complained it is outdated and I must redo the tests and send it again. Bearing in mind that I use Afrihost's ADSL service at home and had to do all of the above after hours and then correspond with Kyle during office hours (he works office hours), it was frustrating to say the least. There is no commitment from Afrihost to sort out the problems we have with poor ADSL line speed. I have expressed my dissatisfaction and requested Kyle's manager's contact details but he refuses to give it to me. I then last week requested that the management of my ADSL line be transferred back to Telkom and since then I have simply been ignored. I do not recommend using Afrihost's service.
