On the 23 October 2013, I clicked on a cellphone deal for R99pm on Cell C's website and followed through by sending my contact details. The following day, a telesales consultant called and asked if I wanted the contract to which I agreed. Before finalising the contract, I was sent a OTP to my cellphone but when the consultant read the Terms & Conditions, I realised that the contract amount was for R129 and not R99 as I requested. He rectified the mistake and reread the terms and conditions and resent the OTP. This time I accepted by quoting back the OTP and was told to expect the phone in a few days. I also requested a port of an existing cell C number.
By the 5th November, there wast no sight of a phone and called the 145 helpline. A consultant called Mershal told me my contract was approved but the amount was still wrong R129. She sent emails to the telesales consultant and a few managers requesting a response. She said she would call back the next day (6 Nov). At 4.30 on the 6th November I called her again after receiving no promised return call.
I was directed to a contracts manager called Phineas Zita. He promised to rectify the situation. Today, 7/11, 5.30pm, no return call
