I have been with Cybersmart for at least 7 years. A year ago I considered changing to Mweb, because they offered me a better deal than Cybersmart. Adrian Bowers from Cybersmart made me a good counter offer on a 2mb line with a 20 gig cap. I accepted his offer and stayed on with Cybersmart. Cybersmart is currently running a super size offer to upgrade your 2mb, 20 gig cap account for only R99.00 per month to 50 gigs during peak time and 1000 gigs during off peak. I called Cybersmart last week to take up the offer, but Andy Kumalo advised me that I cannot take it on my current package because my package is discounted. Nandi from the accounts department responded to my mail with the same answer. Although I have a current account for a 2mb line and a 20 gig cap, which according to their website qualifies for the super size, I will have to pay R166.00 per month extra and not the advertised R99.00. I consider this to be false advertising. I am probably not the only loyal customer who was offered a special deal in the past to retain the account. They obviously do not care about their loyal customers any more. I for one will be shopping around.
