My husband is a prospective Telkom client and requested for the line to be installed today, the 24 October 2013. I called in the morning at about 10h00 to confirm if the technician was still on his way and approximately what time he'll be there.By 14h16 I called the call centre again and spoke to Bongani Mhlungu. I asked if the technician is still coming since we were told that the installation is a whole day process. I was informed by the first call centre agent that we will receive an sms an hour before the technician was to arrive. At 14h16 the technician had not pitched. My husband unfortunately wasted a day's leave since he will not be available as from 16h00 today. He unfortunately cannot wait till after that. I asked Bongani what would happen if the technician did not pitch at all, would we have to call and reschedule another appointment and does he think it's fair that my husband wasted a leave day. His answer was yes it is fine. Understandably I was very upset with his reply. Two of my collogues at work recently installed lines and I thought it to be a good idea too. Unfortunately the experience for all three of us was not very good. how are technicians times scheduled?
