Cancelled contract - Default information reported

I had a 3G account with MTN and had minimal usage because of connectivity issues that never seemed to stop. In Nov 2012 I cancelled the contract in terms of section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act. MTN declined this saying I needed to have the contract reach maturity, I advised that I am entitled to cancel the contract by providing then with 20 business days notice in terms of the CPA. I was promised feedback and kept on paying from Nov 2012 (cancellation) until April 2013 whereupon I put a stop order in as I still was not connected and they had not effected my cancellation. Instead VVM collections kept on phoning me for payment and I then threatened with reporting them to the Consumer Commissioner and the Credit Ombud. I now became aware that MTN has listed me as having defaulted on the account with the credit bureaux. I demand that MTN immediately inform the Credit Bureaux that I am NOT IN DEFAULT, THAT THE CONTRACT WAS CANCELLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, I in fact made payments after cancellation and should get that money back. MTN has to update my credit record to rectify the default listings as this is incorrect. If they fail to rectify, I'll report it
