From the beginning of this month my 2mb/s adsl account has been excessively shaped when downloading torrents. my current data used for the month so far is 13.5gb!
Afrihost's excuse?
"Hi Hendrik. Shaping is done on a dynamic basis and looks at our overall network usage as opposed to individual account usage. We've seen a higher demand recently which is resulting in slightly higher shaping for some clients"
what nonsense? because everyone is downloading excessively I am the one that is effected. My account was shaped since the first day of the month.
the only way to get the account unshaped is to pay R29 for 240min, I will support this feature if I downloaded excessively.
A few years ago you guys only had positive feedback on hellopeter, now most of the people are complaining.
