On 12 September I upgraded my cellphone contract from a Blackberry package to an iPhone package.
The consultant then neglected to inform me that my upgraded package would only be effective as of the new month and that I would be charged out of bundle rates for all data usage and calls made etc. This resulted in a data usage bill of R1231.61 - which is totally ridiculous! Yet, I let it slide..
As a result of this incident, I was of course very careful with managing my data usage as I didn't want to have a nasty surprise of this nature again.
To my dismay, I checked my bill this evening to ensure that I am still in check - only to discover that I now have an outstanding amount of over R3000 that is due on 1 November even though I still have available data, free minutes and sms's on my account.
After speaking to a consultant at the client service centre, I was made to understand that the debit order that was processed on 1 October 2013 was in fact for my usage for August 2013 as well as my subscription fees for September 2013. This makes no sense when looking at my statement.
I am utterly disgusted with Vodacom for this poor service and expect this to be investigated!
