I renewed my contract with Altech on o5 July 2013. This was a Vodacom Smartlight contract for R135 per month. New contract should have been effective from 10 August 2013. On 15 August 2013 new contact was still not effective. After several enquiries I was informed that due some admin error it will only be effective from 10 september2013. On 01 October 2013 a debit order for R3544.73 goes off. I was totally shocked, I immediately went to them to query this and was informed that they incorrectly charged me for the handset.

What gives Altech the right to just debit my account for whatever amount they see fit. I queried this account on 03 October 2013 and to date I have still not received my refund. This has put an unfair financial stress on my account. Except for an SMS on 03 October 2013 acknowledging my query I have received no further response from them.

I find them totally unprofessional and unlawful.
