TELKOM refuses to replace cables

Our neighbourhood, Surrey Estate, has been the unfortunate victim of cable. TELKOM now refuses to replace our cables as they had to replace it twice in one month. I have an internet subscription with MWEB where I receive uncapped ADSL and this can only operate with a TELKOM phone line. We were told by TELKOM that because they are NOT going to replace our lines anymore, we would have to consider alternative options like 3G from TELKOM. This is a major imposition has 3G would mean that we would have to cancel our MWEB subscription and we wont receive uncapped internet anymore. My brothers, who are Graphic Designers, and I who is an English Teacher use and depend on our uncapped internet every single day for work purposes. My brothers even has their own business from home. I ask this question: How can they run their business without internet? How can TELKOM force a consumer to use 3G or no internet? And the most important question: WHY MUST WE BE PUNISHED FOR THE ACTIONS OF THESE CRIMINALS??? It is unacceptable and unfair. Is TELKOM so lazy that it has become acceptable to just refuse consumers a service?

We feel like we in between a rock and a hard place. Please help.
