Falsely accusing me of not paying my account

Hi there

Over the past several months I have received several phone calls asking about my 'unpaid' telkom account, but my account is paid. and I pay it monthly. They say that the bill is outstanding from the end of last year. So I ask them my account number... then they will quote to me a number

The thing is... that's not my account, I have a telkom account, it has a different account number but apparently this other account has my details on it! my name ID number etc.

several times they phoned me, everytime I patiently explained that yes that is my name that is my ID, but that is not my account, I have never received a bill for it, and my account was paid up. But they never seem to understand what I'm saying.

Today I got a phone call from lawyers, saying they will send me a summons over my unpaid account and oh I've been blacklisted.

With tears in my eyes I check my account balance... I'm still paid up.
but they continue to harass me over this other account that I don't know about and don't own.
The account which they have put in my name is 148781530001
BUT IT ISN'T MINE.
