Iphone 5 that is faulty

MTN Direct upgraded my contract in July. I received the new Iphone 5 on the 04 July 2013.The phone was not reading the sim card. I took the phone back to Bethlehem and the phone was taken for the repairs. It came back after two weeks with red sticker saying BER. They told me that is Beyond Economic Repair and I must get it fixed by myself.

After numerous frustrating calls and walking in MTN stores they agreed that they will collect the phone and give me new hand set. This has never happened. When I want to cancel the contract they can not even determine how much is the cost because the information is not properly loaded in the system. is just frustrating and just passing the buck from MTN.
