My contracts were to be cancelled once they had expired; this is not the case as I am still being billed, even though I filled in the cancellation documentation at a 8ta/Telkom Mobile store months in advance as I am aware of the 1 month cancellation policy. I was also contacted to confirm that the contracts are to be cancelled, so the documentation must have been successfully submitted and received.
I had 3 contracts with 8ta; 2 of which expired in July (2013) and the other in August (2013). These contracts were not to be renewed but, as I mentioned earlier, my account has been debited! I expect this to be rectified with immediate effect and that I am refunded in full.
I am putting a stop order in place to prevent further, unlawful, debiting of my account and, as said before, I expect this matter to be resolved with due diligence and urgency or I will be forced to approach the telecommunications ombudsman to deal with this matter.
