Service-shocking!

I cancelled my account with Autopage, they never returned my written application terminating the contract at the end of the contract period, then when I tried to port my number it was a whole process as they said new account not in my name so they couldn't help, so I went to Vodacom, my new contractor supplier and they sorted it out. Why does everything with Autopage have to involve us contacting them to sort out the problem, I'm surprised they have any clients at all. I now have received a SMS saying I might have contractual obligations with Autopage so to settle I must contact them, surely if they want my money they should call me??
