I registeed last Thursday afternoon on the online shop and was informed that I would get an email for activating my shop account. After I finaly received it and tried to activate my account. I got an error when redirected to the website. I then sent a mail to customer services on Friday evening and received a mail back on Saturday apologising for the glitches and that I should try again. I still could not get it to work. On Sunday afternoon I sent another mail to customer services explaining what the problem is. I received an email back telling me to lo go to the MTN website and register. I cannot register again as my ID number has already been assigned to my now dormant account.. Once again I sent an email to customer support explaining every detail and all they do is send me a mail telling me that IF I have a problem to contact the MTN Active Helpdesk on 1761. When I called this number and explained my problem she told me that there is some confusion as she has never heard of an online shop. At long last I thought MTN had come to the 21st century only to find out the customer service is suddnly non existant. And all I want is to upgrade one of my phones.
