How do I kill this account?

My neighbours left SA in March. They are in their mid-80's. They paid their full Telkom bill and their phone was disconnected. I have contacted Telkom numerous times, Telkom agree that they do not owe money, yet the bills and letters of demand continue. The o/s balance is R312.12. They don't owe it but I will pay it, just to LOSE the problem. Somehow I don't think paying the account will chamge anything. Telkom please help. I want to KILL this problem once and for all.
