Applied for an ADSL line in March 2013 knowing that the previous owners had a Telkom account and line. Confirmed the infrastructure was available to support our connection at the Telkom shop. They can check on line if the lines exist at your address. Applied with the "promise" of a 48 hour connection. Was informed within 24 hours there was a problem with the application and they will get back to me about the problem. I had to follow up to find out the reason they cant complete their end of the deal is that they can't find the address we registered. I finally received an SMS from them confirming installation will take place on the 31st of August 2013. On the 1st of August I phoned to complain about them not installing the line as promised. For a company specialising in communication, they at communicating with their supposed customers or prospective customers. Really understand why their share price is in free fall. Still no date of completion confirmed by them. I have been waiting for almost 6 months. Perhaps some time in the next 6 months I may be contacted by them? The thing that gets to me most about this company is that they dont know what infrastructure they have in place
