I received an SMS on 2nd of August to say I must contact them as my upgrade is due. I phoned the Northgate branch and enquired about porting from Vodacom to Cell C instead and I was given some info but asked to come in the Monday, the 5th. I decided to go to Clearwater instead as they were closer to home. The consultant there told me I could not port until my contract expired. I explained that according to Northgate if I pay cancellation fee I could port immediately, but he said I must upgrade. I finally decided to just do an upgrade and could collect my phone on Friday the 9th of August. I decided to phone first, but was told they were out of stock until the following week but will advise as soon as it arrives - nothing - I phoned on Tuesday, to find out they do have stock and enquire again about porting. Finally get figures but they are not sure whether I have to wait until the end of the month, I query the settlement quote with H/O get put through to cancellations and get cut off. I would love to speak to someone who know their facts and can actually assist me proper. How can I be quoted for 5 months until expiry when contract expires 8 December?
