I bought a Nokia Cellphone 0n 13/7/2012.at Telkom Branch in Somerset West on prepaid. On the box it states I have a 24 month warrenty on the cellphone and even the sales person said I have that 24 month cover. The sales person rica the 8ta card but I told him I would like to continue using my vodacom number-can I do a sim swop? -he told me no and then he inserted my vodacom simcard into the phone. I have experienced some problems now with the phone and went to Telkom to hand in my phone for repairs. The telkom agent told me sorry-only 1 year even if the box says 2 years guarentee and then he continued to tell me I must read the small print-my guarentee is not valid because I am using a vodacom simcard, all the shops work like that!!! I only have an invoice-no small print as he claim and it is the first time in my life that I have to hear that no matter where you buy a phone you are only suppose to use the shops service provider otherwise you loose your guarentee. What kind of bull is this- I have a 2 year guarentee and want my phone repaired please. I already had numerous phones with the same service provider and if it needed repair I never had problems like this!!!
