Ridiculous data advance on 2 gig Top Up contract

I purchased a 2gig top up contract on the 08/08/2013 and was advanced approx 300mb, which was used up in 1 day. Upon query I was advised that was a pro rata amount and my next 2 gig recharge will be on the 21/08/2013. That means I have to go 13 days with no internet. At my calculation if the billing date was as stated I should have at least been advanced (by pro rata) approx 1 gig. Ridiculous service by MTN!!!
