I called the Mweb contact center to cancel a service I have been paying for years, but have not been making use of. It was a domain name and a few email address.
Issue 1: Tried to cancel by calling the contact center. My call was never answered after 27 minutes of being on hold. Aborted that option and resorted to sending a cancellation request via mail...
Issue 2: No response until 6 DAYS later. Email sent on 25th - response on 31st July. Sharon Cupido requested a host of information and required I complete the attached cancellation form. (no form was attached). I emailed them to say I no longer have the company information they are requiring, as the company is not in existence. I also pointed out that there was no attachment.
Issue 3: No response again for 7 days. Mail sent 31st July reply received 8 Aug! The response mail from Bonita De Wee was just a cut and paste of the original mail requesting all the same info and again to fill in the (non existent) attached cancellation form.
I sent a third mail but I am disgusted. I have requested in both mails for somebody to contact me. No response. Just pathetic. I just want to cancel a service I no longer require.
