Last year in about October I received a call from FNB offering me a free cellphone. I accepted this cellphone and they delivered it along with a Vodacom simcard that was going to be loaded with free airtime according to the caller. To my surprise when I applied for an increase on my overdraft I was declined because of a 'low credit score'. This was a shock to me since I know that I handle my credit very well. I checked with Transunion and it showed that I had been handed over by Vodacom and when I tried to find out why I was told that it was because of a cellphone contract I had failed to pay for. When I asked these people including Fnb to show me proof that I had agreed to a contract they all just sent me from pillar to post and this is frustrating to me. Vodacom failed to provide me with proof that they had tried to debit my account and they never even bothered to contact me to collect this so called debt. These people need to get their story right and remove this farce of a listing from my name. I don't want to have to involve attorneys in this ridiculous matter.
