Mweb
Application Process

I applied for an MWeb Uncapped ADSL account. Despite the fact that the application form was emailed to me as a PDF document, I still had to print all 17 pages out, sign it, and fax it back to MWeb in Cape Town. In total the printing and faxing at the PostNet in the Fourways Mall in Johannesburg cost me R 106! Each and every one of the other ISP's I know of has an online application process that you don't need to pay for in order to want to make use of their service. I asked the sales lady if I could fill in the PDF form electronically and paste my signature that I scanned as a JPEG image onto the PDF document (I got the capabilities to add text and images on top of a PDF document) and was told that it was not allowed.

Needless to say I think MWeb is just a bunch of money sucking greedy that don't give a about their clients. I lodged a complaint with their complaints department. I was contacted by Rezah Jassiem by email (he didn't have the guts to even phone me). No offer to reimburse me for my R 106. Pathetic! That all happened on the 31st of July 2013. Today, the 1st of August 2013 I cancelled my account. I hope that potential customers will consider a different ISP
