Just before I move all my business away from Telkom 8ta, I would like to inform you of your poor staff compliment at the Woodlands 8ta and Telkom Direct. I have two Promo 5 contracts in my name and 3 in a business name, all up for renewal.
I went to the 8ta store, and they advised me that I need to wait until the contracts expire before I can do the upgrade. I then went to the Telkom store, on two separate days, each lasting an hour and after minutes of what seemed to be random and confused clicking on the screen, the person behind the counter tells me that all of my contracts are up for renewal, and that all I need is my ID. I then tell her, since the Promo 5 isn't available any more, I'll upgrade all of them to the SmartInternet 15. About 30 min later, she tells me that she created the order number for the one number, but it cannot be renewed, even though the system does say I'm eligible for renewal. At first she sneered and said I must come back another day, to which I refused, she then called someone, who told her that she must cancel my contracts, and then I must apply for new data contracts, and pay R200 for each NEW SIM and without internet for days. This is unacceptable.
