Decided to upgrade (with Virgin Mobile) from a Nokia C3 (a great phone) to the NOKIA ASHA 300. Received phone via courier yesterday. Trying to open up to insert battery for charging proved almost impossible! Several colleagues also tried and after many attempts (and a broken nail) I managed to open it. Charged battery till fully-charged; then tried to remove back lid again to insert SIM card... another nail and many attempts later (incidentally I keep my nails short) I got it open. Then found the grid that slides over SIM card a mission to move too.
Unlike the Nokia C3, this keyboard is also not consumer friendly.
I phoned Virgin Mobile who explained they couldn't help since box had already been opened. Then called NOKIA SA and spoke to a genuinely nice guy who also couldn't help. (I was actually prepared to "down-grade" or swap for C3 model again... no joy. Ladies, don't even consider this phone!
