I ordered an ADSL line from a canvassed phone call in August 2012. The technician had trouble fitting it. I had to personally change the modem at Gateway. the line still did not work and, because i had a 5 day cooling off (canvassed call according to the NCA) I cancelled the order. I have made so many calls to Telkom becuase i keep getting billed, then creditied, then billed for the ADSL line. Each time i give ref numbers. Today I receive another account for over R1800 which includes interest. This was all supposed to have been sorted out last month. I put a call throught to the usual call centre asking to speak to a senior supervisor. the lady refused to do this and i had to go through the whole story once again for the 5th / 6th time. then she said "I need to speak to a supervisor". at that point I told her to call me back when someone in authority and competent has sorted the problem. I am still waiting.
I will cancel my Telkom Line asap BUT no douubt because of their incompetence I now have a black mark against my name because I have not paid the full bill that was incorrect. how can I contact someone in authority? i wish I had NEVER thought of ADSL. DONT DO IT PEOPLE!
