I arrived home on 2013-07-04 turned on my ADSL modem and saw I was unable to connect to the exchange. I logged into their site with my phone, looked at their DIY self diagnostic, and the advice there is not the issue for lack of service. I phoned the call center on 2013-07-05 08:00. I've been assigned a reference number.
However going with days WITHOUT a service I am paying for and which has been removed without any thought is very annoying.
