I have a 2 year contract for an internet modem. I am about half way through it. My laptop was upgraded with Windows 8 and now the modem causes it to freeze up within a few minutes. Apparently the software is not ompatible with Windows 8, which has been in this country for more that 2 years. I was told that they could do nothing to help. They can't do an upgrade on the modem, and I would have to purchase a new modem. This instruction came from their on-line support.
It seems that Altech are selling modems that do not have the latest compatible software, and are not prepared to assist the cutomer when this situation arises.
