Advertised phone discontinued but still advertised

I recently started enquiring about the Galaxy Ace Plus from various Vodacom Stores around Johannesburg. Two stores quoted me on the product within the last two weeks without any mention of stock constraints. Today I decided to proceed with the purchase from my nearest branch which is located in the Standard Bank building on 6 Simmonds, Marshall Town, Jhb. When I spoke to the manager about purchasing the phone she informed me that they no longer carry stock as it is end of range. I asked her when did this happen, since one of her staff quoted me no more than two weeks ago, and they even still have two advertisement models in store showing the prepaid price of R2799. She informed me that they sent out a bulletin (???) advising customers of this and that she will not be able to help me.

I find it ridicules that Vodacom would advertise this phone IN the stores AND IN their January/February Brochure that was handed out.

This is blatant false advertisement and it is shocking how little the store managers' care...
