Yesterday I called MTN on the 808 number and spoke to a lady called Phindile who in my eyes was a star and really felt that she was going to help me with my query. But she transferred me to the cancellation department as I wanted to terminate my contract with MTN.In the cancellation department I spoke to a gentlemen called Johan Du Plessis whom I advised that I want to terminate my contract with them he advised me that he can cancel the contract to make it prepared but it will cancel even the airtime that I have on the cellphone which I advised him that you cannot cancel the airtime if the debit order has been done on the account. Which in that case if you cancel the airtime then you need to refund me back the money debited on my account. He advised me that the transaction of debit order has gone through which cannot be reverse. And I advised him that if you cancel the subscription then they need to refund me the money that was debited. Which is essence advised me that they cannot do that refund as he can put me through to the legal department. I then proceeded to request to speak to a supervisor. Which he said he's going to get. But he never placed me on hold. And released the call
