AIRTIME DISAPPEARING

I loaded airtime on sunday of R10 and then it said I got R5 for free later I wanted to make a call but cudnt coz it said i have insufficient funds and when i checked my balance it was on R5 but i never called. Again yesterday I loaded R10 got same message I have extra R5 but later when I called an mtn number for less then 2minutes it said I dont have airtime remaining. How is this possible. I tried calling 173 but it doesnt give an option to speak to an operator. For a large network I think MTN and im gona change my network.
