I had had a landline and ADSL. I had both these services cancelled. The landline was duely cut.
Then we noticed that they were still charging for the ADSL line. Countless calls and emails, some of which ended with assurances from Telkom that they would rectify and credit my account, ultimately came to nought. I was duely handed over to their collection agents, VVM. Numerous calls and sms messages were made or sent to me. Of course each time one speaks with a new soul having to repeat the story over and over and over. With each caller, it was evident that none of what I had furnished the previous caller was logged. Eventually, at their request, I submitted an affidavit, the original cancellation order and other documents. But to no avail. They then - shock and horror - started calling my teenage daughter. And now I've been blacklisted and could not get credit today. I'm not going to take this lying down.
