I have been a subscriber of Cell C for the last 23 months. Their network is pathetic at best. My patience has run out with the amount of dropped calls, missed calls, late message notifications, no internet access. This week I cancelled 2 of the 3 numbers I have with Cell C. If you are going to use your cellphone for business, then I would definitely NOT recommend Cell C.
Cell C should not be allowed by ICASA to trade as their network claims are misleading. I had issues cancelling one of the contracts too. They were very quick to sign me up but really didn't want me to exercise my rights in terms of the Consumer Protection Act when it came to cancelling within 7 days!
They have great deals, they are by far the cheapest. If you live in a flat town where there is not too much network congestion like there is in the big cities, then maybe you will be happy with the Network Coverage. But, they have the audacity to advertise that have their own network and the fastest mobile internet. It is complete bull - it is only available in very select areas. I am going to MTN now as I find their coverage and network quality to be far better and more available in most areas in the big cities.
