ACCOUNT WAS PAID IN FULL AND NOW THEY WANT TO SUE

After closing my Shop in Northgate Shopping Centre in 2008 I paid my Telkom Account in full. About 2 months later I received another Account for an Outstanding amount. When I visited the Telkom Shop in Menlyn they told me that it was still amounts due by me. This Bill was paid as well.

About 2 years later someone phoned me numerous times claiming that I still owned some money. I was furious and went back to the Shop. The Lady working there gave me a printout showing that the account was paid in full and had no outstanding amounts.

This did not stop. People kept on calling saying the money is still outstanding. At that stage my Husband decided to simply pay this amount of money just to get the people off our backs.

Now after all these years an Attorney called and said that they are going to sue me. When I told him that I don't care he said that it's good, because the Bill will just increase every month.

I had a problem with Telkom years ago as well. They sued me for a CREDIT on my account. It took me ages to get them to understand that they owned me money and not the other way around.

What can I do to solve this problem?
