I have to call in for a follow up on a process

It takes 2 to 24 working hours (3 days) to blacklist a phone.
But wait for it, I have to phone in to check when this has been done as you do not send out any form of notification? I do not have my phone that is why I am blacklisting it. I can give you a number to notify me on but i can't keep calling to find out if something might have been done yet?
This is utter nonsense.
