I ported my number to cell c in Jan 2013 (biggest mistake). Since porting I am having endless issues with poor network service My phone has full signal most of the time but I struggle to dial other cell phone numbers and telkom numbers. Sometimes it takes up to 5 attempts before a call will go through. When I am in the Jhb CBD I have full signal bars on my phone but struggle to make calls - 1 in every 5 attempt will go through.
Same story with data. My phone shows 3G 99% of the time but it hardly ever connects to a website when I need to. Someone from Cell C technical should come and see the bad voice and data quality that I am experiencing. The last time I checked I am paying cell c for a service which they are not delivering.
My service provider tells that I cannot port back to my old network as I have a contract. So where does this leave me? I'm bound by a contract but I'm not getting the service that is advertised.
