MTN are an irresponsible company that does not care about their customers. They are notorious for over charging and suspicious bills and this is just another example of a RIDICULOUS bill. If one does not pay the bill, your business literally stops running and customers are FORCED to pay. Our Managing Director was in India for 5 weeks and within the first 3 weeks his bill reaches R120 000.00 (ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND RAND).
MTN can come up with all the excuses they like abt the overseas cellular companies charges BUT they have a responsibility to THEIR CUSTOMERS. A good company would look at yr average bill and automatically block calls once you have reached this limit BUT not MTN. They use to do his but not any more coz as you can see how much money they can charge you if they just let it go. Customers are NOT AWARE of the overseas cell companies charges and rely on MTN to take responsibility and ensure that their customers are paying FAIR PRICES...
I have been trying for 2 years to sort this out. I even highlighted the duplicated movements on their report BUT still MTN insist a blatant error is correct. PLEASE HELP! R120 000 for a cellphone bill that's mainly data!!
