I opened a new contract (not upgrade) and got the new Samsung Galaxy S4. The phone was working perfectly, however 2 weeks later the camera function is faulty. I took the phone to Vodacom Fourways where a technician advised me that after performing software checks and re-installations the fault was physically with the camera and that a new camera was needed in order to repair the phone.
I then took the phone to Vodacom Cresta where I got the new contract and have been advised that if they cannot repair the phone and that they would issue me with a "REFURBISHED PHONE".
There are no refurbished S4's as the phone is still new on the market. Vodacom refuses to issue me with a new phone and when I requested to cancel the contract they told me that I have to pay a cancellation fee, even though I want to give back the faulty phone that they supplied me with!
How can it be expected of me to pay cancellation for a faulty product which I am paying for? I do not want a refund, but I believe that a new phone should be issued as they are trying to pass the bucket on the client while they make money out of suckers!!!
Highly upset.
