Incompetence abounds at Autopage

Hi Peter, thought i might share a story of general confusion at Autopage... All started back on the 14th of May when my contract expired and i cancelled seeking to leave my MTN contract with Autopage and go prepaid in the interim, while keeping my number of 10 years. After numerous calls to the call centre ( -15 calls) after the 14th it turns out there was a "glitch" and my sim was accidentally deleted, and that I now had to go into an autopage store and get a new sim card to which they would port across. New sim card obtained this was logged on Tuesday 21st, we now need to wait a further 2 - 24 business hours well, 24 business hours!!! later, we are now told by Patience that all we need to do is go into an autopage store again to get the new ported sim card rica'd this achieved it should not be long till i can have my old number. Well unfortunately Patience and Jabu were wrong, new sim works but seems i have a nice new number to which i have loaded my airtime on. 14 days of no cell connectivity!? And let me not mention the number of yes we'll phone you's as soon as its ready, you'll never receive anything besides cold sale calls!!! Very frustrating, avoid them at all costs!
