I am very appalled by the DIS-service from Vodacom, after being their customer for almost a decade.
In March I got a call from Vodacom informing me that my contract was due for an upgrade. I spoke to the consultant and informed her I was waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S4. At the beginning of April I got a call again informing me of an upgrade. I asked the consultant to keep me the S4 when it got to stores on 25th April. At about 12pm I went to the Sandton store for my Samsung Galaxy S4, to only be told that they are sold out. I asked how that was so, when I was assured that one would be kept for me. The consultant told me they don't keep phones, yet they have a list of customers waiting for the phone.
I was told to come back a week later, I get there to be told that the phones are sold out. With no care in the world, I was told I should call the next week. I called the consultant on Thursday, to be told he tried calling me earlier but the phones are sold out. I ask myself if he really called how can the phone be sold out within minutes.
He made me call the next week, I held the phone for 30 minutes and no one bothered to get back to me. One month later, I still have no phone.
