I recently applied for the Samsung Galaxy S4 contract and after it being provisionally accepted by Cell C, I received a call stating that I do not qualify for the offer. I understood this as I had only been working at my current job for a few months. I then asked my mother to apply. She was contacted and told the same thing. This is not only insulting but unethical as she has had cell phone contracts in the past, financed cars, owns properties, and has great credit. To be told that a professional woman does not qualify for a R399 a month contract is pathetic. Is that their tactic? To offer great deals, then turn applicants down and try sell them something else which will be more profitable to them? Or have they bitten off more than they can chew and now cannot keep up with demand?
I would like this issue to be resolved. I can't ever see myself recommending Cell C unless I get some answers.
