I purchased a new contract on 2 February 2012 where I took ownership of an Iphone 4S. In March this year I handed the phone in for repairs, only to be told (yes, only yesterday) that the phone will not be repaired under warranty as an IPhone only has a one year warranty for all phones purchased after January 2012. I was not advised of this, nor have I signed any special document when taking ownership of my IPhone. According to the general MTN contract I signed, I have a two year warranty on my phone (first year covered by the manufacturer and the second year covered by MTN). I am not happy about this situation, as, according to me, MTN can not just change the legal contract without me being notified and accepted this condition - with my signature as proof thereof.
