Last November I got a 10 gig plus 10 gig night surfer package from 8ta. I am pretty satisfied with the speed but asked concerning the release of LTE. I was informed it would be released in May. I logged into the 8ta website which clearly states LTE is here. I contacted head office of 8ta and asked if I could use my current package with LTE. Again I was told yes. I was told to purchase an LTE Dongle or router. I went to Greenstone 8ta and purchased router for R2800. I was told I could use the current sim and that it was automatically provisioned for use on the LTE network. I did all that was required, now live 200m from an LTE Tower and only get 3G speeds. I went to the branch who told me it should work. I called customer services who put me through to technical department who then told me LTE isn't "fully released" yet. I'm told I will have to take out another package in order to qualify some time in the very none specific future. 8ta.. Dont advertise a lie. It's bad business and unethical! I now have a router and new sim card that does nothing on the network as advertised and assured to me by both the shop and the customer services department. What will be done?
