Mtn
Consumer protection act

This letter serves to plead our case and ask for help or guidance. The company cell phone contracts upgrades were done by Jonathan Ramnanun from Cell Network in August 2011. In November 2011 two of the numbers where in Namibia for some time and incurred unusual charges. In December 2011 I contacted MTN and went to the 14th avenue, Fairland and 39 Rivonia road, Sandton offices to try and resolve this matter as we feel the charges are unfair based on the fact that no representative from the MTN ever made us aware that there may be high data charges incurred when travelling with a smart phone. I was told that we will be contacted and that we will not have to be concerned. Late January 2012 I have heard nothing and again after seeing the outstanding balance on our account tried to contact the same individuals again with no avail. This has got to a point where our phones have been cut off and we cannot receive or make any communication. When communication was cut of I tried to resolve the matter telephonically but could only get a reference number REQ1254720. After not getting the assistance I went to MTN offices and spoke to Ishfahaan Vithaldas MTN Legal manager but still no avail.
