Telkom Crime Hotline is FROZEN COLD

On the 20 April 2013 I saw a man break open a Telkom box and he connected wires and started making phone calls I immediately called the telkom hotline (0800 124 000) to report the crime in progress.
the operator refused to give me his name as he said it was not allowed instead he gave me a reference number (tk7423) i then called the crime hotline every hour and the operator said? ts just a call center and they can do nothing". this carried on for four (4) hours, to date no one has contacted me and i just feel the crime hotline should change their name to the crime iceline.
