Planet Fitness membership partnered with Multiply
I have been a member at the gym and was previously on a contract linked to Discovery Vitality Benefits. My medical insurance, Bankmed, had recently cut ties with Discovery and is now partnered with Momentum. Therefore to receive similar benefits, I had to activate the Momentum Multiply benefit option. Not one of the Planet Fitness staff members could tell me how the gym members will be affected by the move, and I was informed that they have to find out from head office. After a week I asked again and they provided me with an application form, which I completed at the Roodepoort club. I was informed that the application was sent through to head office. This was approximately the middle of December 2012. To date my membership is still not activated. On 10/01/2013, when visiting the Roodepoort club, I once again demanded to know what the delay is. One of the staff members named Robson informed me that he will confirm with head office as that is where the delay is. He informed me that he would contact me the following day at 12h00. He delivered on his promise, however he could still tell me nothing. He promised a follow up for which I am still waiting......
